Leather Shotgun Cartridge Pouch

Our redesigned Shotgun Cartridge Pouch was introduced in November 2024.  Both the design and material have changes, but of course it’s still hand ‘built’ from start to finish.

The pouch now uses a ‘gussetless’ design which results in beautiful curves at both the side and front.  We’ve also moved to using oak bark tanned bridle shoulder from J&FJ Baker of Colyton Devon.

This leather is produced in 4 stages over a 14 month period.  First, slow oak bark tanning preserves and softens fibres.  Second, natural oils like cod oil and tallow nourish and condition the leather.  Third, hand-finishing techniques stretch and massage it.  Finally, waxing and conditioning enhance flexibility, protect the surface, and add sheen.

• Capacity – 50 x 12-gauge shotgun shells
• Leather - 2.5mm thick J&FJ Baker Oak Bark tanned bridle shoulder.
• Colour – Available in Black or Dark Oak
• Stitching – hand stitched with bonded polyester thread, using the ‘saddle-stitch’ method
• Finish – all edges are bevelled sanded and burnished to give a smooth and refined finish
• Fit – Designed to fit a 1.5” (38mm) wide belt, that will sit around your waist or over a shooting jacket

J&FJ Baker exclusively uses hides from locally raised livestock on free-range farms. As a result, natural characteristics such as crease marks and minor scars may be visible, enhancing the leather's distinctive patina. Slight variations in tone may occur between batches, as each piece is truly unique and reflects the authenticity of the animal's life spent outdoors.
